The season is open!!!!

One of the great things about living around here is the ability to ski and ski at night. We have 2 nearby ski areas, Holiday Valley and Kissing Bridge. KB is for beginners and the Valley draws skiiers from Toronto to Pittsburgh. Here's a shot of HV last night. It was 13 degrees when I decided to call it a night. Excellent skiing!

Winter is here

We've had snow on the ground since Thanksgiving. Check out the leaf that got stuck in the swing ropes. Looks like I'm using black and white film, but it's just winter.

Lop for sale

We have this gentle lop, looks like an angora bunny. She's a female, we found out because she had a pair of babies 6 weeks ago. Very friendly and fluffy.

Bunnies for sale

We need to cut down the size of our herd before winter. We have 4 male Dutch bunnies, about 6 months old. Nice friendly, gentle, curious, good brown and white pattern. They're almost identical.

Big Butternuts

Man, I just picked the first squash of the season! I saved some butternut squash seeds last year and planted just 3 plans that I started in peat pods. I must have 5 bushel of these 5-10 lb butternut squash. Gotta bake one and see what they taste like.
