Raised bed experiment

Looks good so far. Facilitates the pulling of weeds. Will have less grass in the salad this year.

Lillies are about to flower

Well, the lilies are about to bloom. They're very healthy looking as we potted them in good sized pots.

New pond

After filling and trimming. We just need to place the rocks more realistically. The frogs came back before nightfall.

Fixing a garden pond

One of our small garden ponds sprang a leak and would not hold much water. We had to drag out all the plants, drain the water, relocate the indigenous frog population, and remove the old liner. Then we simply lay in the new liner, fill with water and trim

Greenhouse spot

This season's first new project, clearing land for a green house. Not sure if it will be a high tunnel or a greenhouse. Depends on the soil once its cleared.

Crocuses or is it Croci?

Spring is here.

Last of winter

The big pile of snow that slid off the barn is last to fade away.

March thaw

We had a pretty mild winter, but a great ski season. Only 162 inches of snow, most melted in January and then we had a couple of feet in February that lasted into March.

Winter drags on

Late February Snowstorm

We had some very wet snow overnight. Eastern NY had much more, but it's pretty.

It's winter

It snowed on and off all week. Too bad my snow blower is broken. Snow shovels still work though.

Christmas Card

We used this photo for the Christmas card this year. It was actually taken around last New Years day.
