Fall project- Garage Rebuild

This picture shows the original beam supported by the new posts. I removed an original post which could not be stabilized. I hated to cut it away, because it had a 150 year old mortise joint with a wooden peg, so I cut the post below the joint to preserve the antique craftsmanship.

Fall - last maple leaves

Even Harley noticed the bright yellow leaves. Most leaves are already off all trees.

Fall Project - Garage re-build

Have installed 2x4s for the steel roof and removed almost all of the old roof and wall. Just needs facia and trim and oh, yeah, the new wall.

Fall Project- Garage restoration

Had to cut off the roof, jack up main 30 ft beam and drill holes for 6 inch posts. Finally have a stable structure we can trust to park a car under.
